We arrived to penang airport around 5.30pm. After settle all the car rental stuff, we headed our way to our hotel – copthorne orchid without further delay. Neither the small or big nor detail or brief maps we had brought along seem helping. Thank god that GPS was created in our generation. Such a useful kit, man! We able to reach hotel on time, everything just goes well. Just that our dinner time was delayed. The reason was simply because we insist to explore for delicious and nice food in Penang rather than eating in any hawker stall or restaurant that can be easily found elsewhere. Lastly, we found the restaurant...
Finally I can enjoy my dinner =)
Day 2
As planned the night before, we wake up very early to start the journey of the day. Char Yee was joining us that day and be our tour guide. Our journey strated from Georgetown to batu ferringi then to teluk bahang to balik pulau to bayan lepas and then back to tanjung bungah. Referring to the map, we had actually made a big round of penang island. So can this considered as Island hopping?? We had travel the whole penang island in a day I guess!
Dim sum breakfast at Jalan Anson.
Pray Pray in tokong-tokong at Jalan Burma.
Cendol and durian icekacang for lunch at Jalan XX …
hehe.. I had forgotten this one.
The most interesting part would be we travel from penang island to butterworth port then back to penang island by ‘free ferry’. credit: edited photo by mellisa
We skipped out the ferry fares and escaped! What a brilliant idea from our tour guide!
Now, we are heading to beaches in Teluk Bahang. Freaking hot weather here. So u can expect what we would do…
Its best to quench our thirst with some coconut drinks..
Typical sunburn phobic aka puteri lilin with umbrella in beach..
Heading to the next destination, there were no more highways or straight roads on sight. We passed by hill roads, durian farm, waterfall and kampung village. After that, I was like half awake half asleep. When I was awake, we reached the next destination without knowing the name of the place. That night, we had a seafood dinner! Our stomach was grunting contentedly with the food on the table.
Exhausting but fulfilling journey for day 2. So let’s the picture tell the rest..
